PPM signal generation Timming #80

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I use a FUTABA FAAST TX module adaptation to this radio (is a TM-7 in a JR
case ).

It working OK with the factory firmware and even check it with Radioclone FW
and working OK.

I think there are any difference in the PPM generation timming, my Futaba
module refused work with any version of thus FW.
Please, i love this firmware and i like use with my futaba module.
I would be very grateful if this could be corrected.

2.ENHANCEMENT A good idea is add one option for PPM signal inversion in the
model setup menu
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
PPM signal compatible 100%

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.2038thus. I checking several of them with the same result

Please provide any additional information below.
Thank you for this piece of SW, Great work very appreciated here.

Changing the value marker pulse width it working in 350usec the correct value
would 450usec
One could add an option on the menu next to proto:PPM 300
for selecting this value 300 350 400 450 ....
This avoid future problems

Thanks.

Currently we use 300ms as value marker length like described here:
http://www.aerodesign.de/peter/2000/PCM/PCM_PPM.html

Why do you think it should be 450? Is there any documentation available?

Hi,
Thank you for your interest.

I don´t think the correct value was 450, but the FUTABA TM-7 only sync at 350
or 400.
(sorry im wrong telling 450 at 450 not working any way).No doc available only
my test.

Checked with the stock FW, with er9x FW, and the radioclone, it worked...
but I would like to use this FW.

I only think adding the option to change this value,is a good way gain compatibility with another TX modules.

The shift positive in the signal is needed also, a summary are add one Option
in model menu on/off, FUTABA FASST OR TM-7 that setting shift positive an 350
marker.

I apologize for not explaining good and my bad English.
