category for generic processes #178

Do we need a category for generic processes?

Consider the transmission of SOS in Morse code. The information content entity
for transmitting SOS is generically dependent on some concretization of letters
that spell SOS in Morse code: "dot-dot-dot, dash-dash-dash, dot-dot-dot" ". . .
_ _ _ . . ." etc. However, the ways in which SOS can be transmitted also vary:
by tapping the pattern on a piece of wood, by trasmission of electric signals
over a wire, by patterns of flashing lights etc.

Is this an example of generic process?

This looks like an example of a regular process type (or perhaps a defined
class of them)

If the same SOS message is broadcast simultaneously as both a radio signal and
as patterns of lights are both processes, in fact, part of some larger "SOS
broadcast process" or are these two separate processes that have the same SOS
pattern?
