Hi,

i have seen that to run basta after running the diamond program there, the database used for running basta is same as the uniport trembl which was used by diamond or is it a different database which has to be downloaded in a basta directory?.

taxonomic classification based on the LCA algorithms

${basta} sequence -l 25 -i 80 -e 0.00001 -m 3 -b 1 -p 60 ${Taxonomy}/total.protein.faa.90.diamond2uniprot_trembl ${Taxonomy}/PIGC90.diamond2uniprot_trembl.dmnd.lca.out ${Database}/basta/uniprot

If you already have the blast result of uniprot trembl, you only need to download the uniprot mapping file by BASTA, then create databases from the downloaded uniprot mapping files. Finally, using "prot" mapping type in command "basta sequence" to perform taxonomic classification.
