i am Newbie #17

Dear sir

I love your icons/markers very much and have downloaded some of them
incline to add to my customized Google map. However, Google asked me to
enter an URL when i did so.

I don't know how to do that ? Can you please teach me ? Or can i directly
use my downloaded png files in my local machine ?

Hello Martin

The best would be to link the images directly from the server.

First go to the list of icons http://code.google.com/p/google-maps-icons/ and
right-click on the icon you want and "copy the location of the image" on 
Firefox.
(or Properties > URL on IE)

Then, on your custom map, when Google ask for the URL on the icon, simply paste 
the
URL you first copied.

Can you try this ?
