forge install/mods #301

is there any way for people with non rooted phones to install mods with forge as i cant root my phone if not could you please add one because i love this app

Even though i'm not creator of this app, but i bet when it need roots, it'll modify somewhere around data/data/com.boardwalk... which can only be modified by the system. Conclusion, without root, you can't install forge, and it might be not possible to install without root

thanks for the reply i managed to root phone but cant get forge to show up in the version list any ideas?

While Boardwalk is downloading nessacary files, you have to drop a modded forge download quickly and rename the file to whatever Boardwalk is downloading. This is a tedious process since you have to quickly replace the files BEFORE Boardwalk ''patches'' them! But I'm sure some of you will pull it off. And Yes, You Need Root!
