Dear GitHub,

I recently opened your game blocklauncher pro and it put me back on my home screen and kicking me out I have tried both of them and they do the same exact thing!! I'm trying to experiment with a very important mod!! This is starting to make me mad and is becoming a total waste of my time as a gamer for my career(well future)!!! And if I don't practice for gaming con what am I going to do!!! If I dont get practicing with this mod what will I do with my life!! This will cause me to fail!!! , sincerely Neon wolf girl

@NeonGirlWolf, this will be more important if you can also inform MCPE version, device model, BL version, etc.

Be patient, @zhuowei is busy working on updating BL to support v0.15.0, close this issue.

zedman2000 commented 8 years ago

If you updated to 0.15: It has not been updated for 0.15. It takes time to re-hook into all the functions. It was stated on Twitter that the author is going to TRY to get it ported for 0.15 by the end of the week. Please close this issue as it is wasting the author's time. Instead of porting the program he is spending his time closing issue like this which are just fodder. Porting the program is going to happen, so again, please close this so you do not waste the author's time.

I can understand your point, but this happens 'cause the app IS effective and popular. I'm pretty sure the dev is proud (I hope so) of his creation and how popular it became. He can easily focus on what is top priority for him (even if it's not updating the app). He made "issues" available, so let them roll.

zedman2000 commented 8 years ago

@charlescanato I do not understand what you mean. He did not make the issues. MCPE was updated. This does NOT happen because it is popular. It happens because of the culture we have provided everyone. As a comparison, among the issue trackers I frequent, the Mojang one is most comparable to this one from a content and size. The issues posted there are quite different than these. These seem very childish, where the posts on the Mojang Jira tracker are helpful. I will say they also have more moderators, so that helps, but the point is, that we should be respectful, not childish.

As such, I am trying to let people know that all they are doing is making the delay longer by "let them roll", now instead of working on BL, he is spending time going through comments that have not only been reported, but some have been rather nasty with threats...which I do not understand since most people that seem to be making the threats are using the FREE version. I'm not saying ALL are threats, so please do not take that away. I'm just saying if people had some restraint, it will come out as quickly as it can. Follow Zhuowei on Twitter and you will be aware of what is going on and be able to understand that he is not sitting here waiting for someone to complain before updating. He has been working on it for a while and with the drastic changes to the game between 0.14 and 0.15, there has been a LOT of additional effort that is not usual for updating BL betwixt versions.

@zedman2000 I meant Zhuowei has made THIS "issues" page available. ;-) I totally get your point, as well as I perfectly understand that this can be a disturbance for Zhuowei. But it's also understandable that if you provide a contact channel for a product whose users are not really mature into issue reporting, you can't expect everyone to be perfectly in line with these goals or not to disturb you. To be true, if I had any product designed for Minecraft, I'd expect to see what we have here. But I'm not trying to win a debate here, just exposing my point. As I said, I do understand yours and agree with it to a certain extent. Nothing will ever be a good replacement for respect AND wisdom. What we see here is typical Facebook teenager conversation style. For Mojang, moderation is KEY. What we see here is very similar to what you can see on StackExchange (Arqade), you end up quitting following it 'cause even as a user, it's tiresome to check that 95% of the "Issues" are useless content.
