Wireless Menu Bug #266

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

I always noticed this "bug" on all fw versions, it only happens when i upload
flashfs file.

Anyone knows why it happens?

The router is RT-N16 but it was happening to when i was using WL-500GP.

Thanks in advance.

Please describe step-by-step, how you achieve this result.

It's really simple, save a flashfs file and then upload it to your router, you
will loose the WIRELESS menu, i cannot access to those options cause it appears
"t2AES" and doesn't open.

Link to t2AES is: http://192.168.1.1:8008/Advanced_UniqueKey_Content.asp

I don't know if this issue is related with fact of changing default port to
8008 or directly related with flashfs file, i guess not but...

This can be happens in case of you uploaded settings from WL-600. Provide
output of

nvram get productid

I have not uploaded settings from other router (WL-500GP) but you were right,
that was the problem. I have changed the productid in nvram, if i set it to
defaults problem disapears :D

Thanks

Unfortunately there is no easy way to separate platform dependent/independent
nvram variables on settings save/restore.
