PortForwarding/Virtual Server not working on RT-N10U #360

Hi

I'm using the latest: RT-N10U-1.9.2.7-rtn-r4667.trx

I created a simple port forwarding rule, to forward all traffic on port WAN's
80 to local 192.168.1.69:80 <-- my webserver..

here's a screenshot
http://d.pr/i/yCSH

But this doesnt seem to work, all i get is TIME OUT.

I have verified that all the other variables in this problem (web server
running, port forwarding, firewall, etc) are OK, and this is definitely the
firmware's issue... infact, if i quickly switch to another router I have lying
around w/ the same Virtual Server settings, everything works..

What's up w/ this?

Regards

TJ

You are done something wrong. You have to get more knowledge in iptables. Try
to read wl500g.info forum & similar resources.

probably your web server either blocks incoming packets from wan ip addresses,
or have no route to send replies back to them via same router gateway.

I don't have any knowledge in the Iptables, but I have setup NUMEROUS routers
and more complex PORT FORWARDING for many years already, and I don't know why
this one should be any different. It's just a simple PORT FORWARDING that I'm
doing.

Also, keeping everything THE SAME, and changing routers only, everything works,
and it's only when I use this router in question that I'm having problems with..

Lastly, i had DD-WRT installed on this router before jumping to WL500G.. I also
had this same problem w/ DDWRT Firmware and it involved a lot of fidling w/ the
router, and adding FIREWALL COMMAND lines etc, just to get this PORT FORWARDING
to work.. that's the reason why I switched to this firmware... unfortunately it
still has issues :(

Bottom line, THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS with my SETUP, webserver, and all.. I CAN
REPEATEDLY TEST THIS and PROVE this using a totally different router w/
standard firmware. Infact i USE a totally different Router (TPLINK 740N) on a
regular basis when i'm not testing / playing around w/ custom firmware routers
such as this, and everything works fine.

it's ok.. i was just hoping this would pop out a known issue or something.. but
it seems i'm the only one experiencing this(?).. strange indeed.

im gona go over everything.... but i doubt it will yield a different result...
