"Autodetect device" overrides "Modem type", but this is not shown in the web interface #432

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Take CDMA modem that is not listed in rc/usbmodem.h, or remove your CDMA modem
from that list and rebuild firmware.

Configure your CDMA connection, setting "Autodetect device" as Yes

Now router will try to connect using GPRS chatscript, not CDMA, ignoring "Modem
type"=CDMA option

This is described in Issue 429

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

There can be to ways I expect firmware to behave in this case

1. It just honors "Modem type" option set by user, ignoring what type is
suggested by autodetect.

2. When user selects "Autodetect device"=Yes, "Modem type" option should became
disabled as other options effected by autodetect, showing to user that value he
has set would be ignored. May be also would be nice to move "Modem Type" to
"Custom usb parameters" section, so it would easily seen that this option is
affected by autodetect

But I think that second way will create quite a mess, so I think that the first
way is more preferable.

What version of the product are you using?

Vampik's build has serious modifications in rc/web-UI. Can you try our latest
nights builds?

How should I run it on Dir-320? I have no router for test other than Dir-320.

If you have any cdma modem, you can test it yourself, removing this modem from
rc/usbmodem.h and rebuild firmware. Modems not listed in that file are treated
as GPRS modems.

If you, by chance live in Moscow (As far as I can guess you are from Russia), I
can bring a CDMA modem for you.

Or if you can help me building Dir-320 firmware without vampic's ui changes, I
can test it on Dir-320. (I still did not managed to build it)

Sorry, DIR-320 unsupported. Please ask Vampik about his firmware mod or at
wl500g.info forum.

Roman, please confirm that we can close the issue.

Can you just test if you can force your firmware to use cdma chatscript, by
setting "Modem type"=CDMA in web interfaсе? If it works for you, I'll ask
Vampik about it

This problem discussed at http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?&p=264920#post264920

The reason is incorrect settings.
