Shield Extenders are not operational in space #118

Equip a rifter with 3x Caldari Navy Medium Shield Extenders (a difficulty fit, but proves this point).

The Rifter should have about 4000 shield HP now (about 10x normal). Undock, and you'll have about 400, as if you had no shield extenders. Combat shows this to be the case as well.

will have to check on this one... i use med shield xten on my test ship, w/o problems. was one of the first modules i tried. oh, it may be the faction module, as i've barely touched them.

Tried with Medium Shield Extender T2's, still only have 400 HP, same problem.

I was able to get them to work ONCE, by equipping a Covert Ops Cloak to my Rifter (was trying to break CPU util...). Somehow this caused a "You don't have enough CPU to activate stuff" when I undocked. It disabled several of my passive modules, and I was able to activate them manually in space to get my bonus shield HP. I can't duplicate this situation consistently.

Tested on dev eb777b: Not only do they not work as intended, when you toggle them on/offline in space, you can either get negative shield HP, or negative shield recharge times (which makes you invincible). When I undock, my apparent HP isn't obvious what is and isn't actually being applied, but it's still wrong.

error found. this was broken when i "updated" process times on undock, where module effects were not being properly applied. it is now fixed and working properly

Undocked a rifter with one Medium shield extender. My HUD showed that I didn't have any extra shield HP. I undocked my rifter with two medium shield extenders and a aux power core (got an erroneous message that my fitting too OP, it offlined a module). When I online the module in space, I get the HP. Ergo, still broken as described above.

well, in that case i'll have another look at it, and see if i can molest it enough to show what's going on.

Looks like they work in space now, but don't honor my skills. In dock, I should have 3113 shield HP, but in space I have 2588 (after I re-enable the 2nd shield extender). So the 2nd bug is also still here, since the Aux Power Core gives me the PG that I need to keep both on.

working better, but if I offline a shield extender, I don't loose the HP immediately. it seems to "decay" at the negative rate of my shield recharge?

that makes sense.....shields are a 'charged' item, like cap so, that's a rather neat effect.....feature!!! this will need molesting to verify

otoh, i havent done anything with modules in a while, so no telling what's changed
