Thanks for the feedback! We call "A word linked to B word" any word in A that has either a parent or a child in B. This is a bit confusing when focusing a specific word where the direction shows the influence only (parent to child). This should be indeed improved.
Hi, really nice and interesting visualizations! But I think there is something fishy going on in, for example, https://etymap.xyz/#r/san/eng for example. We have English sample words linked to Sanskrit words (like vajra -- which has Sanskrit as a parent) and then Sanskrit sample words linked to English words (like असुर -- which again has Sanskrit as a parent). In the visualizations, links are shown as directional objects, and in such a case, what I talked about just now seems like a bug. The top 4 influences of Sanskrit include English and this is quite odd.
