What predicates correspond with the IANA defined HTTP Link relations? #4

Link relations relate one resource to another and thus could/should have a direct mapping to RDF predicates. From a quick look I don't see any general mappings described by IANA or in the specs defining these. It would be particularly good to understand mappings for canonical, describes, descibedby, item and collection.

From a bit of web searching:

I note some discussion on this issue (with no conclusion other than it is a good idea) in the thread that starts with https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-lod/2010Apr/0023.html

Not-very-related spec for HTTP LINK and UNLINK methods http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-snell-link-method-11 and Leigh Dodds' code to implement https://github.com/ldodds/link-middleware and earlier version. Doesn't make any comments on the semantics of the links.

http://mediatypes.appspot.com/ is an unofficial site minting URIs for MIMe types (but not link relations).

http://bblfish.net/work/atom-owl/ and http://bblfish.net/work/atom-owl/2006-06-06/AtomOwl.html suggesting minting URIs for Atom-related IANA link relations of the form http://www.iana.org/assignments/relation/alternate but this is quite old and I don't see much evidence of traction. Mention of predicate URIs in http://abdera.apache.org/docs/api/constant-values.html
