HW Keys remapping don't work with Sony Ericsson Experia X10 mini pro

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1) Option > Settings > Define Keys
2) I map the emulator sticks and buttons to physical keys of the integrated 
keyboard (Sony Ericsson Experia X10 mini pro).
3) The mapping in this section seems to work fine: apparently all the sticks 
and buttons are assigned to the desired physical keys.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output would be that I could control the sticks and the buttons 
through the keyboard.
Unfortunately the mapping is working only with the commands “Exit” and 
“Options”; all the other mapped commands don’t work through physical 
keyboard.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mame4droid V 1.1.
Android V 2.1 –update1. 
Sony Ericsson Experia X10 mini pro (with physical keyboard integrated). 

Please provide any additional information below.
My mobile has a very small screen so for me it would be impossible to play with 
the touch screen. Please help me fix this. Thank you for your time an effort 
with this wonderful software.

Yes man, you are great! The problem was connected to the IME input, I cannot 
switch to Android keyboard but unticking the option "Default entry (Entrada 
predeter. in spanish)" in Language and Keyboard option section everything is 
working fine. Sometime the option is automatically ticked again and I have to 
untick it again but it is not a problem. Thank you very much!
