This would remove the continuing confusion regarding the "official" version of Zint, as they would both be the same, would resolve a number of issues currently in this ticketing system and would serve to make the project more accessible for those who prefer GitHub over SourceForge.
This would also involve the harmonisation of licensing, with the back-end library moving from GPL to the BSD 3-clause license.
If you have a concern or objection then please add it to this ticket and I will do my best to find a compromise which works for all. If there are no significant issues arising from this proposal then work will commence on merging these repositories on Monday 4th July.
