With option "Full screen: OFF" under "Settings > Look > Screen Layout", the Android gesture navigation bar background should be black (like in upstream XCSoar) or even better transparent (without the reserved space).
With option "Full screen: ON" under "Settings > Look > Screen Layout", the Android gesture navigation bar should not be visible.
Actual behavior
The Android gesture navigation bar appear in grey and with the reserved space, regardless of the option.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
Just load the app. I tested it on a Google Pixel 6 on Android 14 Beta 3 & 4.
On the same device the issue is not visible with upstream XCSoar v7.36.
This is not visible on my Samsung S10 running Android 12 since the gesture bar is always hidden.
Do you have any idea what may have caused this?
No, but probably some Android API changes or missing Android manifest metadatas.
