As far as I remember, they work. But you'll need to enable them when starting to watch. why do you say they don't work?
Same problem here. It just stays on disable when I try to select DVB Subtitles.
Now I can't even find the option anymore and get a frozen spinner stuck on the video despite the fact it's playing and not buffering.
Using iPhone XR on iOS 14.6 and internal VLC
The way I tested is to use the same streaming profile in both Kodi and tvhclient. In tvhclient i don't even get the option of choosing subtitles. I know they are there as they are taken with copy in the profile and the same profile works in Kodi. Now I know this is not a tvhclient issue, but rather vlc for IOS issue. Also if using pass profile, i can see the subtitles, but even if I try to select them, they are not selectable.

another update. i was checking the log (by the way...great feature). the DVBSUBs are recognized, but they are not appearing in the selection menu for the audio / subs. Very weird. In all cases it still is the best looking and functional IOS tvheadend client.
Same problem here with internal vlc player. If i open with external vlc, subtitles can be selected and works correctly. So the problem is with the internal vlc player
hi. would it be possible to figure out a way to get dvbsubs working? or is this a vlckit issues?
