Use document merge feature to pull values from CSV

On Ubuntu 22.04, I used 'Ubuntu Software' tool to download glabels program.

I followed the document merge tutorial: example 1. The example provides a table of data to save as a CSV: star_trek.csv. The example guides the user to make a template. I made a template on an Avery address label of a certain dimension: I did a print preview of the result of merging the CSV with the template:

To adapt this to our case, we would:

• make a template that uses firstname, lastname, addr, addr2, city, state, country, ...
• pick an Avery address layout with the right dimensions
• use a CSV exported from TablePlus
  • ask query

    SELECT firstname, lastname, addr, addr2, city, state, country FROM mailing_list WHERE video = 'DVD';

• • click 'Export' and go through dialog to export as CSV

We tried this on 20240115. We will open new tickets related to this to do more with gLabels.
