While I like the idea, I have no idea how to accomplish it.This will very likely have to wait until we start making the transition to userjs.
I agree but this change was Zixaphir's doing so i don't know how he wants it. We really need a separate appchan for controversial changes that need testing.
I see nothing cotroversial here.

It's an option. I don't see it as controversial.
But don't we have another issue that it needs to be an option? I'm posting from my phone since I've been out a large part of today.
At home now so I can see what you're talking about.
Yeah I wouldn't know how to do that either. Maybe if we had our own 4chan X in AppChan like Zixaphir wants to do in the Javascript move.
Can't your Droid browse the full version of Github? I just tested it on my a lot slower Blade and everything renders well.

Its more of an issue of not wanting to browse non-mobile pages on 3G when everything goes to my email anyway. Just disregard my first post.
Wouldn't it make a bit more sense to inline them underneath the backlinks instead over the parent post text like so...
Right now expanding replies with the bottom backlinks displaces the backlinks themselves downwards, and that makes it tedious to expand a bunch of them, since you have to scroll down to bring the backlinks into view again, and then scroll up to read.
With my proposition, the workflow becomes more intuitive, like expanding replies in a threaded forum system, and also the backlinks stay in place when expanding replies..
