ActionBar icon generator doesn't work with images (makes solid colored images only)

I don't know whether my image has a problem or not, but generate action bar 
icons doesn't work with images I try to make.

It just becomes solid gray (in holo light theme).

I've attached the screenshot. 

Please either provide a solution or advise for any mistake I might be doing.

This is working as intended. The source image needs to have transparent pixels 
where you want the inside details to appear.
