My old IDL code is frustratingly organized, and the most of the actual file management and algorithm stuff is already included here in mosasaurus. The main unique aspects to get a basic version working are:
allow for pointing offsets between direct image (reference) and grism (science)
image processing for IMA files (all this goes into the instrument's createStitched)
ridiculously tall apertures (do centroid and width still make sense in the spatial scan regime?)
wrapper for the wavelength calibration, simply using the STScI polynomials (requires a custom WFC3 WavelengthCalibrator, which is probably actually even easier than the normal work of having to come up with a useful line list :-P)
