As you sais, the architecture of xdocreport could support xslx and ods. It
exists a project for ods
https://code.google.com/p/xdocreport/source/browse/#git%2Fdocument%2Ffr.opensagr
es.xdocreport.document.ods but very basic.
I'm not very motivated to do that because it exists
http://jxls.sourceforge.net/ which seems powerfull.
Developping a pdf/html converter is a very big and hard task and I'm not very
motivated to do that.
But any contribution are welcome!

ods is supported, each cell acts as an input field so looping constructs work.
only problem is quotes in ods get encoded so things like [#assign x="hello"]
will fail. Am curious if there is a workaround for this - otherwise I am able
to define templates in ods format and they generate just fine!

Hi yuriy,
No time for the momoent toimprove ods reporting.
If I see that ods could interest a lot of people, I could try to improve it.
But it's a big task. I suggest you to create issues with bugs founded with ods,
but I don't know when I will find time to do that.
Regards Angelo

I close this issue, because I will have no time today to support spreadsheet.
