on ubuntu 9.10, install libstdc++5... from here
http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/i386/libstdc++5/download
works for me !!

I have the same problem, but in ubuntu 10.04 amd 64. I've installed libstdc++5
of
jaunty, but it's dont works,

Installing the library from a previous version of Ubuntu is the only fix at this
time. I am working with the author of the Sopcast client to see if he will
re-compile
off libstdc++6 so this will no longer be an issue.

A complete solution for Karmic can be found at my ppa
(https://launchpad.net/~jason-scheunemann/+archive/ppa). lib32stdc++5 provides
the
fuctionality required for SopCast Player.
