In the Amanda Community version, the Web Based Centralized Management Console feature is not available, I understand that this is for strategic or commercial reasons.

However you should consider enabling the Web Based Centralized Management Console feature with limited options for the Amanda Community version, this would certainly make Amanda more popular among the many backup solutions, I have followed the project for years, practically since its inception, and I am convinced that it is a great product, however it is not so popular because it has the limitation that users do not have an interface from which they can test the qualities of the solution.

For an expert user of Linux systems, it can be easy to manage backups from the console. But for a common user or one with limited knowledge, it is a very complex task.

Probably enabling the Web Based Centralized Management Console feature with limited options for the Amanda Community version will allow the solution to gain popularity and allow them to have a greater reach of potential customers.

I will make sure to check with the team about this request.

I'm new to this team and trying to learn about Amanda myself, it would be great to get my hands on something like this for the OSS community.

Thank you very much for your response, of course it is a suggestion, I understand that in the end it is a business and all the work they have done requires remuneration.

Really the idea or intention is not to give away the software or open all the features to the community, but rather to allow users to test certain features within the web console and limit those that you consider should be private for users. business clients.
