Mod creates unbeareable world lag when loading terrain. #88

Good evening, I installed WildNature into my modpack / modded server on version 1.12.2 last week. The map is a week old at this point. Everything plays out smoothly for the first few hours, but it suddently becomes unbearable to load chuncks, since the server freezes every 15ish seconds. I've tried it all, googling it first (duh), Pregening all the chunks, lowering player render distance, even as far as removing certain mods we believed would conflict with it / cause world gen lag. There is nothing about wild nature in the console, just a lag warning "04.10 01:07:05 [Server] Server thread/WARN [minecraft/MinecraftServer]: Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 8009ms behind, skipping 160 tick(s)". But I would also like to mention wild nature is definetly causing this since it's the only mod I haven't played with and i've never had this issue, we would also periodically get warning messages saying it was causing cascading world gen lag, I even enabled to forge fix for cascading world gen but it's still lagging. Any kind of help would be appreciated. I would also like to mention that it can't be due to a bad server, since we have one of the best plans in our host with 10gb of RAM, and we've played on worse plans with more mods and with Biomes O Plenty with no issues.

The WildNature team no longer supports 1.12.2 (Or has even worked on it recently) - you are running a reeeaaallly early version, so there is bound to a few problems (namely, immense lag, amongst others). Currently the main branch of WildNature is ruuning on 1.14.4 with a 1.15.2 version in the works. The best I can suggest, is to stop using the 1.12.2 version and use another worldgen mod if upgrading to the 1.14.4 version is not feasible. Hope this helps.

Hello, Thanks for the response. How would I go about switching to another worldgen mod??

Just remove WildNature and add whichever terrain-gen mod you would like to use. The world may/may not keep the chunks loaded by WildNature depending on how much it rendered (In my knowledge); otherwise it should generate any new chunks using the new mod. If the lag persists, the best I could suggest would be to recreate the world entirely using the new mod (Just delete the old one).

Hopefully this helps,
