I love the concept of this but one big problem is I can't use it while
tethered. Tethering by passes the anderoid gui and goes directly to the
linux guts to manage the wifi. Because of this swiFTP thinks it's not
connected to WIFI when infact it is.

How about making it so you can start the ftp server even if it doesn't
appear to the program you're connected?

Is this function working in the current release (on android market)? Or was 
this never released? I would like to be able to run and connect to the swiftp 
server while connected to the phone with wifi tethering. Wifi tethering is 
natively available in my phone (sony ericsson xperia ray, I'm on android 2.3.3)
