Firefox 3.6.3 always asks for username & password

What steps will reproduce the problem? Please include as much detail as
possible.
1. HTC Desire with Android 2.1. update 1, Software no. 1.21.405.2
2. Win XP, Firefox 3.6.3
3. Local network.
4. FPT permitted access to sdcard/
5. Norway

What is the expected behavior? What do you see instead?

When I access the SD card in the browser, I would expect that I only need to 
give username and password once. Firefox asked me every time I opened a folder.

This did not happen when I had created a desktop shortcut in the form 
ftp://username:password@...

What version of SwiFTP are you using?
The one available in the MArket today, 10 Jun 2010.

What operating system are you using?

Which FTP client are you using?

Which Android device and version do you have (Nexus, Droid, Hero, G1,
etc.)?

This sounds like a client configuration issue. Is there any reason to think 
it's a SwiFTP issue?
