Problems with Sofle v1 + nice!nano v2 right half

Problem

The right half of my Sofle v1 Keyboard doesn't register any keys. I build a stock zmk with the default layout for the Softle keyboard and copied the uf2 files to the right and left controller.

Without connecting anything else, when I connect the left half via usb, I'm able to type with it. When I connect the right half via usb to the pc, the lights on the controller blink shortly and the keyboard doesn't register any keys. I'm still able to put the controller into the bootloader mode via pressing the reset button twice.

I tried both:

• to connect the left controller to the right half of the keyboard (with the firmware for the left half)
• put the firmware for the left half on the right controller and connect the board

In both cases, keys get registered. That's why I don't think this is a soldering issue or a broken part.

Setup

• Sofle v1
• nice!nano v2

Question

Am I missing something here? Is the configuration only for the Sofle v2? I couldn't find anything regarding this issue in the documentation for the Sofle Board and ZMK or online.

I just read that you can't connect the second half directly to your pc. Sorry for the unnecessary Ticket.
