Add or copy widget? #90

The Add widget icon used in Edit mode looks more like a copy icon than an add icon to me.

I think it would be much clearer if a classic [+] icon was used instead. This would also be more consistent with the other Add widget and New widget icons .

When it comes to the edit mode of the widget, the [+] button will look like it adds something INTO the widget. The copy button, on the other hand, does exactly as described, it essentially creates a blank copy of the same widget.

I understand the logic behind the copy button but I still feel like there should be a better suited icon for the task.

The current copy symbol is quite vague. It's unclear if you will be copying something from the inside of the widget or if you will be copying the widget itself. And if you are copying the widget, will it be with or without the content inside? Also, what will happen with the copy?

The regular copy button doesn't really seem like an intuitive choice to me when creating a new widget. Even if the widget technically is a blank copy of a widget.

I think an Add new copy icon could clarify that you will be creating and actually adding the (blank) copy (of the widget): Screenshot_20231015-015713.png

Otherwise I think an Add new widget icon would be a good alternative: Screenshot_20231015-015644.png

Agreed, I'll fix it in the next version
