If you don't specify a path, it will save to the context folder (in the case of an elevated TotalReg, that's going to be c:\windows\system32)
And if you don't specify an extension, it will not have one.

I suggest, if the export path has no extension, add .reg as a courtesy to the user
If it is a filename with no path (a relative path)
I would prefer save to desktop, that's probably the easiest place to find at all times.
Or, if totalreg is not running inside an admin-only folder or inside %windir% / c:\windows , then saving to totalreg.exe's folder might work too. But I think for most users, just saving to user desktop folder is probably the best.
