it is based on the arrow from: https://github.com/encharm/Font-Awesome-SVG-PNG/blob/master/black/svg/location-arrow.svg The Font-Awesome-SVG-PNG repository is licensed under the MIT license
i rotated it -45° colored it light green/blue and made a dark green/blue border arround. i prefer myself the blue one, feels more like a navigation system and fits more the current zanavi logo.
MIT license seams to be compatible with GPL: https://chipkidz.wordpress.com/2009/08/07/licensing-kinds-of-fsl-with-gpl-compatible/
it probably needs a shadow or something under it. how does it look tilted forward and on the map?
do you mean a shadow like this? maybe the left one for not moving and the right one for moving.
what means on the map? does it mean on the road? or not on a road? for not on the road maybe use them in grey.
with on the road i mean, make a mock up how the new icon looks on this png: https://camo.githubusercontent.com/dc9748e83660ece6cec51b4e561248b2b8c8da2b/68747470733a2f2f77696b692e6f70656e7374726565746d61702e6f72672f772f696d616765732f382f38622f5a414e6176695f73637265656e5f3030332e706e67
to see what it looks like in the app
i prefer myself picture 6 or picture 8
Maybe move also the mic icon more down.
Maybe also move the quit navigation button from the top menu next to the explore button.
I changed also the "explore" button to the latest material design from: https://design.google.com/icons/
at the moment zanavi does not show you when gps is not turned off, thats why i added that icon. maybe it is possible that zanavi shows if gps is turned off in phone.
not sure if it makes sense to show if GPS is turned off, since there are other location methods also (3g, wlan) i will open a general issue for GUI-design
i made the boarders of the icons bigger. i prefer picture 4 or maybe picture 7
maybe we should start a discussion about the "green triangle" Navigation/Car icon. it should be nicer and smoother. maybe more modern.
should we keep the colors? what about shape? maybe a nicer "shadow" thingy?
see also the discussion about the logo -> #10
