Indication of direction above the map confusing

When navigating, there is a banner above the map which displays the future direction. What I noticed in the newer version that the behaviour has changed. I would expect that when driving on the freeway, the arrow should either:

not be displayed if the next exit to take is more than 10 km ahead, and otherwise displayed with a distance on when to take it
be displayed as straight forward when describing an upcoming which should not be taken

What happens however is that the arrow points left when straight forward should be indicated. This is a bit confusing.

What also could help is a Google Maps style set of arrows indicating the layout of the lanes, instead of a single arrow.

I will try to provide one.

The Google Maps style set of arrows is something that I found to be available in the paid version, so that part of this issue no longer counts.
