Actually no. I was unaware that there were any fractional hour offsets. Is Venezuela the only example of this?
No there are more. New Delhi, ID is also a partial offset (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=176). This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:World_Time_Zones_Map.png) is useful, but it shows that Perth, AU is a 3/4 hour offset, which I can't confirm so I had to double check the others. Thanks for posting this source - looks very useful. What a shock to see it from a fellow Cat - small internet.
Interesting. I'll have to look at changing the source when I get some time. I had no idea that there were fractional offsets from UTC. Looking at the map was useful. I can see why some countries would choose to split the difference and just have one time zone.
And you're welcome. Do you have a particular use case that you are thinking about? And what year(s) did you go to K-State? I went to K-State from 1996-2001.
I work on an Android weather application and our data provider doesn't provide moon events so I've been looking for a client side java implementation. I was there 1991-1995 - just missed you.
Have you considered that some locations have a fractional hour offset from UTC? Venezuela for example is -4:30 offset. Thanks, Aaron
