Can you post more details (what were you uploading, was it albums or through
the file
management etc)? Also, the log file would be useful. Thanks!

From the log, it seems to crash after uploading the first file. If you check
on the
player, is the first file present?

I made some small changes for r37 but I don't know what's causing the crash so
it
might not work (try it and let me know). I don't have vista so I can't really
test it :(

No, just the folder is on the walkman.
FYI, I've installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package.
I've attached a screenshot of the crash info.

I tried uploading an album after I set the compatibility mode for the
WalkmanMTP.exe
and the mptaxe.exe.
The upload worked better , but after the upload the mtpaxe still crashed. Also
it
worked with one album, with the next it didn't work completely.

hmm... exception code c0000005 means access denied. Maybe its something with
vista's
increased security. can you create playlists or upload files via the file
management tab?

try to execute wmtp as admin... maybe it solves the problem (i either don't have
vista to test it)

damn vista...my sensation is that you can't d'n'd from a limited-permissions
process
(e.g. explorer) to a full-permission one (wmtp) because of some process
communication
filter microsoft put in there for security's sake... an extreme solution could
be to
execute a copy of explorer and wmtp as admin and try d'n'd from there... if it
doesn't work, at least we've excluded some possibilities! if it does, it could
mean
we're on the right way

I'll see if i can get a hold of a copy of vista and look into this further. Did
creating playlists or uploading via the file management tab work?

uploading via the file management tab worked, but the playlist uploading didnt.

I was able to try it on vista. Oddly, for me playlists worked. I found it was
really
a hit and miss. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. v0.4.1.2 (r38) should be a
bit
better but it still crashes sometimes after albums are uploaded.
