This backs up our theory that random strings may be triggering the 'new message' notification. No messages were being received when this happened. It was a very controlled case.

This behavior is entirely controlled by the server. Additional filtering should possibly be considered within mod_cloud_notify. Perhaps Android is sending ?OTR? messages?
