App froze in chat view then crashed #541

Steps:

Went into airplane mode
Sent a photo to a group
Turned airplane mode off
Opened the group chat; the photo I sent while offline got an error.
Tapped the error and resent
Let the app sit for a while with chat view open; went back to convo view
Pressed home button on iPhone; walked away for a few min
Came back to chat on the chat. Chat view froze and app closed.

This is very difficult to reproduce, but I wanted to document it in case other people were seeing it too.
