nothing happens when clicking street past list #18

I`m sure I did everything right but when clicking the streetpass list on mario kart 7 nothing happens

You're supposed to go past that and keep pressing A through Start Race OK until the exploit launches.

But when pressing A on 'streetPass-list' it just says that other players that you meet over streetpass are added there, it doesn't say anything about 'start race' so I can't click okay to that

I’m having the exact same issue. I’ve been over the instructions many times and can’t seem to find what I would have done wrong any solutions?
