Old 3ds Bugged (USA crashing issues)

Hello I have a problem in my old 3ds it’s USA and basically what happen when it asks “Start Race” and I click ok the screen just turn white and it crashes is there any way to fix this and if there is please help thank you so much

I'm aware there's stability issues and I'm working on a big fix. In the meantime just make sure

• your language is set to english.
• reinstall the exploit periodically. (click old_USA.bat)
• keep wifi off

oh also i would like to mention it rarely happen when i click start sum numbers or something pops up when it turn to a white screen then crashes i think that should be helpful just letting you know

Alright, this is the first test of the big refactor (for USA). It should work for both old/new 3ds. Set or confirm English as your language in System Settings, but it should run in any language for the USA region.

Remember to put your movable.sed in the resources folder before running the USA.bat script. USA_test_mk7v1.2.zip

So I just tested it and you still can't get in. I tried two different methods the short way and the long way. The short way is basically when I see "start race" and click on it instantly. What basically happen it turn to a white screen like you about to start a race and some command random stuff are writing in the top left of the screen then crashes in 5 sec. But, then again I have encountered this last time. But, it was more rare with the older version, out of 10 times I clicked start race only 2 time this command was written so it seem what your doing is working it getting better but not there yet. So the long way is basically I wait about 5 mins before I start the race. What is the outcome? It is just a white screen then crashes in 5 sec. I think if you can stick with the short way that where the progress seem to be improving more.

"some command random stuff are writing in the top left of the screen" - what exactly do you mean by this? Is it multi-colored vertical lines flickering or an actual brief display of text? (or something else)

And yeah, waiting around is a bad idea because it gives errant threads a chance to do more bad stuff.

Is it then crashing to a luma3ds screen that says "Current Process: menu" on the top screen or is it just kicking you back to home menu with a 3ds popup prompt "An error has occurred forcing the software to close, the system will now restart"

Yes And tell me if at least you saw a blue screen on the bottom (briefly).

Still coming up with the same error. It freezes as soon as I get to the StreetPass List.

since I just wanted to see if it would work it doesn't. I have done it 4 times every time it has the command thing. We were talking about, it seem like it booting to a black screen. Then write all the commands but then instantly turn white and crashes. No Blue screen btw

Also I have learned a trick for the streetpass list mzahoran all you do is click on you wii character. Stay there for about a second then click b and go on streetpass it always works.

Something to watch out for is if you tap down at the streetpass list, it will instantly crash (the bad kind). So get past that screen by pressing A and not touching the d-pad.

For this particular exploit, yeah. But it wouldn't be possible without the people who wrote the libraries I used (ie 3ds_ropkit / 3dsropxploit injector) and of course, all of the 3ds specific documentation on https://3dbrew.org for the last 12 years.

Hello, I've been having trouble getting Kartminer 7 to work at the end phase. When I run the USA.bat it says that there's an error IO and that the system cannot find the right path. It still injects the hax onto the sd card, but when run with Mario Kart 7 it crashes from a white and red screen.

Try it a couple of more times. If it still crashes, change to a different language in system settings and try again. Try about 3 times then change language and try again. <-- repeat until it works.

The .bat script checks all drive letters d-z, so that error might happen. You could edit the script to only try your sd drive letter* - that would silence the error.

• you have to check and see what the sd drive letter is on your computer, it can vary from system to system.

Ah OK so you mean on my computer it tells me that the SD card is Storage Drive E, so I can change it to only check that path?

It also doesn't hurt to re-run the exploit install.

Tried modding a American 2DS 2 hours with every language just getting red screen and crash with normal release files. After that I used the Test file you uploaded here and Spanish language and it worked. Is something different with this?

There's some small changes like different .text entry offset and the thread killer is tweaked a bit. Which test was it btw? test, test2, or test3?

Ok, thanks. It's difficult for me to debug things like this because I can't recreate them on my system or ask the user to send me crash dumps of the failing builds. I could keep tweaking settings but it's all just shooting in the dark.

Yes of course I want to help to make the exploit more stable. Idk why so many people have problems (in Eu too) on all my 5 German Europe devices it works flawlessly first try Old and New after you fixed some issues

I'm having the same problem, only with my old 2DS. Once I get to Street Pass and begin clicking "A" to start the race, the game simply crashes. This continues after changing languages.

Are there any files I can send that would be helpful?
