The image upload process needs to be documented fully so that we aren't dependent on personal knowledge of how it's supposed to work. The impact currently is we are blocked on loading images to the herbarium collection by not knowing the full work flow to do this in general.
The are the kind of things we need documented.
Do we need need to convert images and to what format before uploading to S3.
What is the format of the meta-data needed for final uploading? Is there intermediate format of meta-data that is submitted by the science teams? Does a program currently generate any of these meta-data format?
What are the work-flow steps and who is responsible to get images loaded?
What/where are the infra-structure touch-points? How do we get up to date credentials for this if the credentials are time-boxed , expired.
