Design questions for App #268

Copying this from another issue so all design questions in one place:

@beckyrother For a next iteration - on Android, for a project like 'Unearthing Ecological Data' , the light teal with white writing on top for the answer choices can be a little hard to see in sun. Any chance that teal could be a little darker or some other choice?

The pop-out icon (the circle w/ the arrows in 4 directions) takes up a lot of real estate. Could that be done differently somehow so it doesn't take up so much space/make the images so much smaller?
