Image examples in interface use old images

The images as examples that pop up when one does a mouse-over in the classification interface are still the images from the old field guide, the ones that Zuzi says are not very useful. (Except for the ones that are of new categories.)

Could we update them from new images from the new field guide? (Probably without the size marker?)

@heathv would probably have to generate those images without the size-marker.

Please, change at least these ones:

• Lobate
• Larvacean House
• Thalasso
• Salp
• Arrowworm (I don't like the image proportions)

The others may remain the same they are. Some of them are very confusing and doesn't look like the creature usually appears. Thanks!!

It would indeed make sense to use the images of the field guide (which are supposed to be the most representative; otherwise they need to be changed in the field guide itself).

My opinion on which image to pick is (numbering from left to right):

• lobate: 1
• larvacean house: 1
• salp: 4
• thalasso: 4
• doliolid (without tail): 3
• radiolarian: 2
• rocketship sipho: 1
• cydippid: 3 (even though it is not really well framed)
• sipho corn cob: 4 (or keep the current one which is actually better)
• sipho two cups: 2
• doliolid with tail: 3 (or keep current one)
• solmaris: 2
• medusa four tent: 4
• medusa more than four: (difficult because those are many different ones) 1 or 4
• goblet: 3
• ephyrae: 2
• beroida: 4
• cestida: 1
• radiolarian colony: 2
• larvacean: 1
• arrow worm: 1
• fish : 1
• shrimp: 3
• polychaete: 3
• copepod: 3
• pteropod: 1

@yshish , what do you think? (I really would welcome your opinion in particular for the California only groups!).

My suggestions; I tried to choose the most common displays (considering both locations). The ones we agreed on are bold:

• Lobate 1
• Larvacean House 4 (This is more common type/view of L. house, the 1st one is rarely seen in Cal)
• Salp 2 (They almost always appear very opaque)
• Thalasso 4 (! The drawing is well visible and the angle of view is the most typical)
• Doliolid without tail 3 (I like it more than the current one)
• Radiolarian (the current one is good)
• Rocket-ship Sipho (I'd prefer some with the tentacles present since it belongs under the 'Head with tail' category. Unfortunately, we haven't include the most common view at all! Would it be possible to change for example the 1st one for another with tail which is not in a feeding display? Maybe this APK00060fu Or rather the 3rd one for APK0000i17?)
• Cydippid 3
• Sipho Corncob (either 4 or the current one)
• Sipho Twocups 2
• Doliolid with tail 4 (The buds are well visible which I find helpful)
• Solmaris 2
• Medusa four tentacles 4
• Medusa more than four (either 4 or 1)
• Goblet (either 2 or 3)
• Medusa ephyrae 2
• Beroida (either 3 or 4 or the current one)
• Cestida 1
• *Radiolarian colony 2
• Larvacean (I like the current one. The 2 type is more common in CAL. But maybe you're right that 1 is more helpful for distinguishing between Larvaceans and larval Fish!)

• Fish (I like the current one but maybe the 1 is more common=helpful? You're the fish expert here:)
• Shrimp (3 or the current one)
• Polychaete worm 3
• Copepod (either 3 or the current one)
• Pteropod (I'm used to different looking Pteropods in CAL, I'd choose some from my collection like APK00075xh or APK00076xx instead of the current image examples. But they're from CAL.)

Alright - here are my selections, taking into acct @jiho and @yshish's suggestions. If I can get final say then these are the selections. I biased this list towards not changing things that I don't think needs changing, unless both jiho and yshish agreed upon the change.
