Marks don't display under Firefox38 & Windows7 #75

AvastMH has just reported 'vanishing marks' while classifying plankton using Firefox38 on Windows7.

This is what she said: "I classify a plankton and I click the correct picture the exclamation marker suddenly vanishes. In fact it turns into a small black box I just discovered. The count is correct. Here's a picture I've just cleared my cache and it's made no difference."

I saw these black squares replacing the marks before! It seems to be just a problem with displaying the mark. It happened to me when I made a videorecord of the screen - I could see the yellow marks but they were not visible on the record - there were black squares instead of them.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

I'm not sure. She should be seeing a similar mark, but with a check mark instead of exclamation. The check marked icon functions as a button to reopen the species selection and to indicate a species has been marked. They're loaded up with the custom font set that is generated along with the species svg icons. I'll have to do some experimenting to see if I can replicate.
