being stuck in the Tutorial #82

User Sukhumvit has just reported being stuck in the Tutorial.

No start button has appeared. No last slide after several hours. No little cross to close the Tutorial. After each screen I click finished, then next and another screen appears with the word tutorial next to the finished button. This happens over and over again on whatever machine I use . This is due tomorrow. I found the screen, I clicked start and It's still in tutorial mode.

Here are the details about the browser and OS being used.

I'm not sure what exactly is happening. At first, I was afraid the user has just confused the real Classification page with the Tutorial. But I was most probably wrong (telling by the following replies).

Please, check the Discussion thread I'm really confused and don't understand what the problem is. You may be more lucky than me..

A screenshot will be helpful, but my guess is that this user is just confused by the interface. I'm guessing the user thinks the "Tutorial" button next to "Finished" is some kind of indicator meaning a tutorial state of the interface when all it does is launch the tutorial.

Also maybe the user isn't logged in? Going back and forth from the home page (maybe he's changing the location?) while not being logged in will also restart the tutorial.

Either way, the tutorial button design could be changed to make it more clear it's a button.

I'll also make a note in the discussion thread.

Agree, it is the only explanation which makes sense to me (just hope we're not wrong:). Thanks for the note.

I'm going to close this since the user with questions hasn't responded to the thread in Talk. I'll just assume this means he understands the interface now or hasn't had any more issues.
