dateTool chromium bug #547

chrome does not display the dateTool properly. it won't let you type dates.

@mgiraldo In case it might be of interest, our lab also wanted to fix the datepicker functionality, and ended up implementing a React component to do so (here's the pull request with the relevant changes). I hope this might help!
