Blue dots lingering over next subject #324

Occasionally blue dots are still present from previous annotations. This may happen when you leave the page and then go back to the transcription page. A new subject will be loaded, but the annotations made on the previous subjects will still be displayed. Refreshing the page would get rid of the blue dots as well as the associated annotations.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. transcribe and save.
  2. close the browser window or go to the home page.
  3. Click on either 'Recipes' or 'Letters' (not on 'Get started').
