No one has taken this on. The main "consumer" of CMF packages, Plone, does not use CMFDefault at all.
Is a modification technically feasible? I maintain software that depends on this product and I am willing to invest financial resources to maintain compatibility.
Of course it is. Just takes someone to actually do it. From all I can see all the major dependencies have been ported already.
If you know a freelancer who is interested in the job, we can talk about a possible hiring for this purpose. My email is contato AT openlegis.com.br. Appreciate.
Correcting: contato AT openlegis.com.br
I appreciate the offer, but unless someone interested reads this (unlikely) not much will happen. I am not some kind of coordinator, I am just one of the developers.
I understand. Anyway, if I managed to carry out this update on the product, I would be happy to share it with the Zope community. Thanks again.

In two years nothing seems to have happened in this repository. I'd like to archive it if there is no veto.

what is the status of the product? is it discontinued? Is there planning for compatibility with zope4 and python3?
