Can't create viewpoints in QGIS! #58

Dear Zoran,

I use your visibility tool quite often and usually there is no problem, but this one occured to me twice, so I figured to ask you about it.

I have my (valid) points shp layer which I want to convert to viewpoints, but when I run the process, this error keeps popping out:

ValueError: Null geometry cannot be converted to a point.

The shapefile is fixed, I tried saving it all over again, checked the CRS and everything should be working fine, because it works fine with other layers. This particular layer has 1826 points and other layers that I have succesfully converted to viewpoints have no more than 280 points per layer. Could this be the problem? Is there a viewpoint number limit to the analysis?

Hello, The number of points should not be a problem. Try converting the file in another format (csv, geopackage... ). If this still doesn't work, you can send me the file in the attachement, I'm curious about this error.

Thanks! I saved the file as KML and when it saved it somehow changed the chosen CRS. I then resaved it again as shp with correct CRS and now it works and I can do my analysis. Somehow, wrong CRS always sneaks up on you...
