Fix compatiblity with older browsers #125

This is part of a fix for zotero/web-library#544.

Depends on https://github.com/zotero/pdf.js/pull/3.

Tweak browser list for babel targets
Add core-js
Replace the only one use of :is pseudo-selector with equivalent css
Replace all uses of replaceChildren with equivalent loop-based logic
Add a workaround for browsers not supporting inset-inline-end
Add a fix for epubs not loading in Safari <= 15
Update pdf.js submodule
Update some babel-related dependencies
