This feature is planned: #169
Also is there any functionality that you're missing in particular in the mobile view, other than the screen real-estate? Mobile/Tablet functionality should be pretty much on par with desktop, though overall experience might be worse due to limitation of the device/screen.

Hi, I just found out why at first I believed that the mobile interface is "highly limited" in functionality. Actually, there seems to be a bug on Larger screen devices which show all three subviews at the same time (collections view, Items view, and item details view). The bug is that when you select an Item In Center view and its details get shown on right view, there is no Edit button appearing On top of right view.
I found out that the Edit button appears on smaller screen devices like mobile phones, where the Item details view (right side view) flies into the viewport on selecting an item, but it would not appear if you use Larger tablet screens. This basically blocks user from accessing a lot of functionality.
see the attached screenshot.
Edit: I just found out that you are already aware of this issue on #406 and pushed a fix on it. Will the fix get deployed to Zotero.org anytime soon? Thanks.
@zxcmehran Thanks for reporting, as you've noticed this has been recently fixed and I believe it has already been deployed to zotero.org
Re-opening this as it makes sense to support both, and implementation-wise these are separate:
Hello,
As the mobile view is highly limited, an user with a capable phone or tablet might need to use the desktop interface on their device while the web app does not respect "Desktop View" toggle of the mobile browser (checked on Chrome, FF, Samsung Internet). There should be an option (or at least something like a query string flag) to let user explicitly specify that they want to get Desktop version and not the mobile UI.
