On iOS we currently have a toggle in the reader for preventing device sleep, but we're going to try to remove that setting, disable the system mechanism by default in the reader, and then after a reasonable amount of time turn it back on and let the system sleep, just to save people's batteries. Max auto-lock (other than "Never") on iOS is 5 minutes, so we'll re-enable after either 25 or 30 minutes, depending on whether the system automatically triggers the lock if it's over the timeout when the mechanism is re-enabled, and the max idle time will be 30 minutes.

This would only apply within the reader.
