Newspaper Abbr and Magazine Abbr #34

A new field, "Newspaper Abbr" / newspaperAbbreviation, should be added to newspaper_article, and mapped to the "short" form of container-title in CSL. Same for magazine.

[I said container-title but that could be another variable if short forms are replaced by proper vars (http://github.com/citation-style-language/schema/issues/2 and http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/10313/#Item_14 )]

Just a suggestion: I think it's important to document use cases for any additions like this, rather than to just assert they're needed.

Also, it might be a good idea to standardize on the "periodical" term and variant in the UI/data layer, rather than have multiple variants for journal, magazine, newspaper?

Yes, sorry. I thought that was sufficiently straightforward. C. Guettier, « Une nouvelle autorité administrative indépendante, la Commission consultative du secret de la Défense Nationale », LPA, 22 janvier 1999, n° 16, pp. 5-13. LPA is "Les Petites Affiches"

On "periodical", I thought that was designed for entire runs. If it is decided to merge journal/magazine/newspaper into one single "periodical" item type, I'm afraid we might loose some flexibility.

I'm not necessarily suggesting merging the types: just the term used the describe the container.

In any case, it's not a big deal.

This makes sense and requires no change to csl, so I'd vote yes.
